Riders4Rights is a Black-led mutual aid organization in BedStuy, Brooklyn

We are activists, organizers, and a community of Abolitionists.

In the wake of the COVID and Black Lives Matter movement, R4R we found each other. We saw a global need for community pooled resources and the need to restructure the way we care for one another.

What started out in the summer of 2020 as protesting on the street has transformed into something equally as beautiful. These days, we focus on mutual aid, food justice and our monthly Giveback Days.

Join us at our next event.

Our Work

Over the past 4 years, we have helped provide food distributions, warm clothing giveaways, shoveling, neighborhood clean ups, tree planting, and more! Check out some of our favorite projects here.

Our Team

We aim to make R4R, as an organization, the truest representation of the world we want to live in. We are volunteer run by members of the neighborhood.

Quality + Nutrition

BedStuy is a food desert and we want to change that. We believe in urban food sovereignty and are committed to providing fresh, nutritious and culturally relevant food to our neighbors each month.

Hi, we need your help!

On the last Saturday of each month, we host a Community Giveback Day. We give away free groceries, hot food, clothing, hygiene products, books, toys, and more at each event to anyone who needs it.

We’re fundraising to raise enough to get us through the next 3 months (March, April, and May) of mutual aid events and cover our expenses, we could really use your help!
